Description
The Imperial Carriage Museum takes visitors into the world of the Viennese court. Vehicles, paintings, riding equipment and magnificent garments tell the story of the lives of Maria Theresa, Napoleon, Franz Joseph and Sisi. You can experience mobility throughout history - from the baroque imperial carriage, to travel, sports and children's carriages, to modern high-speed vehicles.
Barrier-free accessibility
Entrance: Main entrance via 3 cm high step, double doors (walking wings 68 cm wide)
Inside the building: Entrance to the collection: double swing doors, total width 130 cm. Exhibition area on the ground floor is barrier-free. Area on the 1st floor can be reached via a staircase (width 128 cm, 12 steps, intermediate landing, then 155 cm, 10 steps, handrail on both sides of the stairs at a height of 100 cm). Toilet outside the wagon camp, currently not barrier-free.
