Description
The Horn Museum has one of the largest prehistoric exhibitions in Lower Austria. Next to it is the 1,500m² exhibition Man.Soil.Technology - 7,500 Years of Agriculture. In the former public hospital there are exhibitions on the topic of town history and the Reformation. An antiques cabinet, mineral exhibition, lapidarium and various special exhibitions round off the offer. Interactive stations for children including a giant silo slide.
Barrier-free accessibility
Entrance: Step-free entrance area and easy-to-open doors, lockers at different heights
Inside the building: Toilet, stairs with handrails, overview plans in the entrance area, free space for wheelchair users: inside. All exhibition areas can be reached by elevator, stair lift or ramp.
In exhibitions: Floor made of wood or stone, easy to drive on. Seating in every room, portable museum stools. Sans serif exhibition texts in large, high-contrast font. Virtual tour of the museum on the homepage. Glass doors are marked.
