Description
In the House of History, visitors immerse themselves in 40,000 years of human history. They experience the flora and fauna of Lower Austria with over 40 living animal species in the House of Nature. The Lower Austria Museum stands for the connection between people, nature and climate. In the architecturally unique building, knowledge is imparted in a playful and inspiring way.
Barrier-free accessibility
Entrance: Ground-level access through the main entrance. Double-leaf glass doors (passage width 2 metres)
Inside the building: Exhibition area (except glacier in the House of Nature), cash desk, shop, cloakroom, toilets, lifts including acoustic tour, restaurant
In exhibitions: A large part of the exhibition architecture is barrier-free (e.g. wheelchair-accessible display cases), most of the interactive elements are accessible and usable for wheelchair users
