Description

The extensive collection in the rooms of the former Dominican monastery and in the modern extension shows a multimedia overview of the city's more than 800-year-old eventful history. Highlights of the collection include the legendary late Gothic Corvinus cup, the Gospel Book of the Teutonic Order from the 14th century, or the Austro Daimler 617 from 1922. Founded in 1824 as the first Austrian city museum, it is a popular extracurricular place that combines knowledge and the joy of discovery with fun for the whole family, with a focus on interactive art and culture education.
