Description

Built as a late medieval weapons arsenal by Emperor Maximilian, the Armory now houses a museum of Tyrol's cultural history. The tour through the historical eras begins with prehistoric finds and leads through economic boom times and religious and political conflicts to the present day.

Barrier-free accessibility

Entrance: The Armoury is easily accessible via the main entrance in Zeughausgasse. The inner courtyard of the Armoury is difficult to access with a wheelchair due to the gravel embankment.

Inside the building: Toilets and elevator are barrier-free.
