Description

HANDS UP is an interactive exhibition that gently and humorously introduces visitors to the world of sign language. Led by deaf guides, hearing people experience the everyday lives of deaf people and learn interesting facts about deaf history and culture. The goal is to raise awareness in the hearing world in an entertaining and playful way and to demonstrate the importance of sign language.

Accessible information and content

All exhibition content is presented without spoken language and by deaf guides using facial expressions, body language, and nonverbal communication. The program is supplemented by interactive touchscreen PCs and written German and English.
