Seated tours through Esterhazy Palace

Esterházy Palace has an innovative idea: For people with limited mobility, "seated tours" are now available. These allow visitors to experience the history of Esterházy Palace in all its depth and diversity – without having to climb stairs between the exhibition levels. Using film and image material, a live guide leads visitors through the rooms of the palace, providing an entertaining insight into life at the court of the princely family, presenting the works of art and highlights from the collections, and answering questions. A "scent quiz" and hands-on objects round out this tour, which takes place entirely while seated in a barrier-free room. The tour also includes access to the adjacent "Haydn Explosive" exhibition on the ground floor.

Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt is one of Austria's most beautiful baroque palaces and offers impressive insights into the once glamorous life at the court of the Esterházy princes. Due to its historic structure, the palace is only partially accessible.
