As part of the exhibition „COMMON STORY. United Art Experience“, the Künstlerhaus Association offers two guided tours in August for people with visual impairments.
The exhibition COMMON STORY is dedicated to the history of the exhibitions and programs of the Künstlerhaus Association since its founding in 1861, while simultaneously looking towards the future of the institution. Based on historical posters and archival materials, the exhibition offers insights into defining events of the past decades and illuminates the more than 150-year history of the association and the building. At the same time, it looks to the future – to the Künstlerhaus today as an open house, a place of encounter, participation, and exchange.

NEW VISIONS
Interactive tour & workshop for blind and sighted people
August 28, 2026, 3 p.m.
Experience art together and discover it in a new way – with all your senses. In this inclusive workshop, blind, sighted, and visually impaired people meet in an open space full of language, play, art, and imagination.
Together with the artist Sarah Iris Mang, participants embark on a poetic and playful journey of discovery through selected works from the exhibition COMMON STORY. This shared experience fosters a lively dialogue with the art, allowing for the exchange of perceptions and the exploration of diverse perspectives. In this way, a space for encounter, joy, and new insights is created.
In the studio, these impressions are used as a springboard for creative expression. Participants are invited to playfully explore the possibilities of painting and drawing, to experiment, and to develop their own ideas. Colors, forms, and space enter into a free dialogue – extending beyond the purely visual. How can painting be experienced? How can boundaries be expanded and rethought?
