Description

The MAMUZ Castle Asparn/Zaya brings 40,000 years of human history to life and provides a comprehensive insight into prehistory, early history and medieval archaeology. Changing special exhibitions deepen the understanding of past living environments. The archaeological outdoor area of the MAMUZ Castle Asparn/Zaya offers a glimpse of past living environments in Central Europe with faithful replicas of buildings from the Stone Age to the early Middle Ages. A variety of historical festivals, activity programs and historical craft courses make it possible to experience history up close.

Barrier-free accessibility

Entrance: designated disabled parking space and barrier-free entrance

Inside the building: Disabled toilets

In exhibitions: For people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users, the outdoor area of the MAMUZ Schloss Asparn/Zaya is sometimes difficult to access due to its nature and the historical building conditions (door thresholds, narrow door widths, etc.). An accompanying person is strongly recommended. The exhibition rooms in the castle itself are designed to be barrier-free, and every floor can be reached via an elevator.
