Description

The nitsch museum is one of the largest monographic museums in the Republic of Austria and sees itself as a place of contemplation and sensuality. Its architecture is based on the ideal plan of a monastery complex and includes building sections that allow associations such as a nave, cathedral, side aisle, crypt and are arranged around a central piazza. The artist's unbridled desire to penetrate to real events, to real experiences and to direct, intensive perception of the senses and of being represents the starting point and the perpetual leitmotif for all exhibition activities and undertakings of the museum.
