Description

Experience the Austrian Parliament up close: from plenary sessions to guided tours and research in the library. In the Demokratikum – Experience Parliament and in the library, interactive stations invite you to participate and discover. The easily accessible content is aimed at all age groups.

Physical accessibility

Entrance: The main entrance is behind the Pallas Athena fountain. It is located in the middle below the driveway for cars. The curved, historic driveway ramps on the side do not lead to the main visitor entrance.

Inside the building: After the renovation, the Parliament building complies with accessibility guidelines.

In exhibitions: tactile floor guidance system, barrier-free color and text design, seating, tactile orientation station, tactile QR codes

To listen: All media stations are designed according to the 2-senses principle

In sign language: Offer of guided tours in sign language on request

In Braille and to touch: tactile orientation plans, general folder about the guided tour in Braille

miscellaneous: Loan items, e.g. magnifying glasses; the main contents of the stations can be accessed via tactile QR codes.
