Description

Many of Peter Rosegger's best-known stories revolve around events on and around the Kluppeneggerhof, the Styrian poet's birthplace. They provide insights into rural life in the mid-19th century and tell of a time that seems alien to us today.

Physical accessibility

Entrance: Due to its hillside location and for historical preservation reasons, the Rosegger Birthplace is not accessible to wheelchair users with or without assistance, people with limited mobility, or visually impaired or blind people. The house is located at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level and is only accessible via a footpath (forest road). The walk takes approximately 30 minutes. Access by private car is not permitted. Taxi transportation is available, but the museum does not cover these costs.
