Description

Located near Schönbrunn, the Vienna Technical Museum offers a varied program for the whole family. Unique exhibits describe technical developments in their historical and social context. Numerous interactive and multimedia elements enable individual access to technology.

Physical accessibility

Entrance: barrier-free access below street level via wide concrete ramps, automatic wheelchair-accessible glass revolving door, directions for visually impaired people on the website, two barrier-free parking spaces for cars in front of the main entrance

Inside the building: all exhibition levels, except the historic mine, barrier-free toilets on every floor except E1, wheelchair-accessible lift (internal dimensions 140 x 100 cm, door width: 90 cm), two electric stair lifts

In exhibitions: Audio stations without induction loops, seating, increased noise due to interactive elements, exhibition texts in German and English
