Description
Located near Schönbrunn Palace, the Vienna Technical Museum offers a diverse program for the whole family. Unique exhibits describe technological developments in their historical and social context. Numerous interactive and multimedia elements allow for individualized access to technology.
Physical accessibility
Entrance: Barrier-free access below street level via wide concrete ramps, automatic wheelchair-accessible glass revolving door, directions for visually impaired people on the website, two barrier-free parking spaces for cars in front of the main entrance
In the building: all exhibition levels, except the historic mine, barrier-free toilets on every floor except E1, wheelchair-accessible lift (internal dimensions 140 x 100 cm, door width: 90 cm), two electric stair lifts
In exhibitions: Audio stations without induction loops, seating, increased noise due to interactive elements, exhibition texts in German and English
