One best-practice example of this is the Austrian Cultural Forum (ÖKF) in Warsaw. The forum sees itself as an open place for encounters and exchange – a place where people with different needs can participate equally in cultural life. Therefore, the ÖKF implements targeted measures to enable the most accessible participation in its events possible.

A central element of this commitment is the consideration of accessible formats in event planning. For example, the Forum regularly offers events with translation into Polish Sign Language (PJM), provides audio descriptions when needed, and organizes personal assistance for blind and visually impaired people. These measures enable people with various disabilities to actively participate in culture. To make these offerings visible, the Forum uses clear pictogram symbolism, which can be seen directly on the respective event announcements.

The Kulturforum's spatial accessibility is also being continuously improved. The building is partially barrier-free: a modern induction loop system is installed in the event hall, enabling people with hearing impairments to participate more effectively. This is complemented by the TOTUPoint navigation system, which makes it easier for people with visual impairments to navigate the building independently. An accessible restroom is available on the first floor and can be reached by elevator. One of the building's two entrances is wheelchair accessible, and improvements to accessibility are ongoing.

On the website The information on accessibility is supplemented by two videos in sign language.

Accessibility is also an issue for Austrian culture abroad.
