The dates for guided tours in November and December at \u00d6GS of the current exhibitions at mumok have been confirmed. As part of the after-work exhibition tours, guided tours with German interpretation of the exhibitions will be available. Never final! The museum in transition <\/em>and The world of tomorrow will have been another present<\/em>.

Selected works of art will introduce you to fascinating aspects of the mumok's collection history from the 1980s onward. The exhibition explores the transformation of the mumok during Dieter Ronte's tenure as director (1979 to 1989). Exemplary insights into the heterogeneity of the collection's expansions are contrasted with the cultural-political parameters and programmatic decisions of this decade. It was during this period that the foundations were laid for collaborations with collectors, the museum was active in socio-political matters, and strategic acquisitions paved the way for the collection's focal points for the following decades. "Never final" \u2013 this phrase coined by Hertha Firnberg defines the mumok to this day as a dynamic place of change. This idea is brought to life in the exhibition through an open format with interactive furniture and dialogue spaces that stage the museum as a platform for collective research, learning, and questioning. The museum becomes a place where art is not only taught, but also explored and questioned together.

Five contemporary artists\u2014Nikita Kadan, Barbara Kapusta, Frida Orupabo, Lisl Ponger, and Anita Witek\u2014enter into dialogue with masterpieces from the mumok collection through expansive installations.
