The Tanzquartier Wien is once again offering special dance performances focusing on auditory experiences for blind and visually impaired people on two dates in April.: it doesn't go without saying (& other gossips)<\/em> by Alix Eynaudi & Elizabeth Ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hands-on introduction: from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location: <\/strong>Tanzquartier Halle G, Museumsplatz 1, 1070 Vienna<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two choreographers Elizabeth Ward and Alix Eynaudi approach each other for it doesn't go without saying (& other gossips)<\/em> together with dancer Ray Scheinecker, the American Postmodern Dance. The focus is on oral traditions of his lesser-known stories, especially the life of Cathy Weis and her Authentic Movement<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a particular focus on the listening experience and very much in the spirit of oral history, the dances are carried by the voices, interviews, and vivid descriptions in Paul Kotal's sound composition. Lighting by Lukas K\u00f6tz and a collection by Isabelle Edi create a performative landscape that unfolds as a series of homages. Movement meets gossip and raises questions about archives, accessibility, and collective memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For both performances, we offer a tactile tour for people with visual impairments or blindness. This allows you to familiarize yourself with the stage and selected props beforehand. The meeting point is at 5:45 PM <\/strong>in the foyer of Hall G.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
