Description

The Kunsthistorisches Museum is one of the most important museums in the world. Its collections comprise nearly 4 million works of art spanning over 5,000 years. Highlights include objects from ancient Egypt, the treasures of the Kunstkammer (cabinet of art), and paintings by Renaissance and Baroque masters such as Pieter Bruegel and Caravaggio.

Inclusive art and cultural education

  • Target group-specific tours: Barrier-Free Day: • Tactile tour every 1st Friday of the month • Tour with sign language interpretation every 2nd Friday of the month • Tour in simplified language every 3rd Friday of the month • Tour for people with dementia or memory loss and their companions every 4th Friday of the month
  • Start: 3:00 PM, duration approx. 60 minutes, admission and guided tour free, summer break in July and August
  • Target group-specific workshops: Workshops for people with dementia or forgetfulness can be booked upon request; inclusive mediation program for young people with and without learning difficulties
  • Sensory mediation aids: are used in guided tours
