Description

The Roman city quarter, with its reconstructed ancient houses, is unique in the world, as are the amphitheaters and the Carnuntinum Museum, the treasure house of Carnuntum, bringing antiquity back to life. Carnuntum was an important Roman metropolis on the border of the Roman Empire from the 1st to 4th centuries AD. In 2021, Carnuntum was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
