Description

The Roman city of Carnuntum includes the visible parts of the former Roman metropolis of Carnuntum. Unique in the world, a city district has been reconstructed in a fully functional manner at its original location. The highlight is a thermal bath complex that is heated all year round. The Carnuntinum Museum shows the highlights from 170 years of research history. In 2021, Carnuntum was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list as part of the Danube Limes.
