Mining shaped the entire Gurgl Valley for centuries. Working underground was not without its dangers, but it secured the livelihood of many families. At the Gurgltal Miners' World, visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of local mining and the hard lives of the miners. Various buildings illustrate mining, the diverse fields of work, and social life in those days. Another highlight is the Healer's Museum. This museum focuses on an extraordinary discovery from 2008. At that time, a woman with over 181 grave goods was discovered in the Strader Forest – she was likely no ordinary woman.
