The Ferdinandeum will be closed from July 2024 due to a general renovation and expansion of the exhibition space, expected until 2027. Despite the renovation, museum fans won't have to miss out on their art enjoyment. Under the motto "Ferdinandeum on the Move," exhibitions will be held at other locations in Innsbruck and Tyrol. Current information can be found on the website and on social media.
The Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum offers an artistic journey through 30,000 years. From the Stone Age to contemporary art, visitors experience many outstanding objects on five floors. Rembrandt and Brueghel, among others, represent the masterpieces of Dutch painting. The Artuqid Bowl from the Near East represents the extensive medieval collection.
Physical accessibility
Following its general renovation, the Tyrolean State Museum on Museumstraße will be barrier-free and accessible from 2027.
