Under the motto Free Art for All The Secession offers free admission to its exhibition hall on Karlsplatz every first Wednesday of the month. Not only the world-famous Beethoven Frieze, But also changing exhibitions of contemporary art can be visited free of charge once a month. This is made possible by the commitment of the hearing aid company Neuroth, which has stood for better hearing for over a century. In keeping with the motto displayed on the facade of the Secession building... To every age its art. To art its freedom. With their "Free Wednesdays" initiative, the Secession and Neuroth advocate for easier access to art for a broad public. This artist-run international exhibition space sees itself in many ways as an open venue for presenting new artistic ideas and for engaging in social discourse on pressing contemporary issues.
