Description

The 44er Gallery is located in the 44er House on Leonding's town square, a building with a history spanning approximately 200 years. The gallery, situated on the first floor, presents three to four contemporary art exhibitions annually. Solo and group exhibitions from the regional and national art scene showcase the diversity of art. A special focus is placed on inclusive exhibitions and a multisensory experience for all visitors.

Physical accessibility

  • Entrance: Access to the front of the house (number 44) is via steps. The rear entrance is through an archway next to the house, providing level access to the ground floor. The gallery on the first floor is only accessible via a historic staircase; there is no elevator.
  • In the building: Once on the first floor, all rooms are accessible without steps. The doorways are wide enough for wheelchair access. The restrooms and cloakroom are located on the ground floor. Admission to the gallery is free.
  • In the exhibitions: Since the exhibitions usually last about 10 weeks, there is no permanent wayfinding system. The staff member will be happy to provide an overview. The exhibition design prioritizes inclusion and accessibility: artworks are hung low, and labels are in large print.
